I want an N-Gage
No, really, I do. Listen to me for a minute before you decide to be a complete retard and say, "LOL SIDETALKING FAGGOT"!

First of all, I couldn't care less about it's actual function as a phone. I don't care that you can't fold it in half or that you have to hold it sideways to talk. It doesn't matter that it's not as slim and sleek as the Mach5 Razor Blade iTunes Phone Supreme. You know why I want an N-Gage? Because it has some badass games available for it. I know, I know... most people only remember Tomb Raider, Pandamonium, and a small handful of other titles that came out at launch. You've probably seen the cases of the games pushed in the very back, most impossible to find location in your Gamestop. Hell, at one Gamestop I went to, the games weren't even on display, I had to actually ask the employee about them! It's ok, I understand! They've probably sold two N-Gage games in the last year..why bother wasting shelf space on them? Their entire stock of N-Gage games are $7 new, and if you're willing to take a gamble, I'm sure you'll find some serious gold.

Some key highlights of the N-Gage library (which is what...53 games strong right now?) are:

Pathway to Glory and Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands (86% and 78% on Gamerankings)
High Seize (87% on Gamerankings)
Glimmerati (87% on Gamerankings)
Pocket Kingdom (70.1% on Gamerankings)
Civilization (74% on Gamerankings)
Rifts (83% on Gamerankings)
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (86% on Gamerankings)

and soon Warhammer 40,000: Glory in Death.

The more recent games (High Seize, Ikusa Islands, Rifts, etc) are only available for online order, so you'll have to pay full price for them (oh shit, $25 for a new game! OH NO!), but god damn if there ain't some badass badassness available for a platform that was thought to be a complete joke and a waste of money. It's a shame RedLynx (Pathway to Glory and High Sieze) doesn't focus more on more mainstream platforms, though I'm sure everyone has played their stupidly fun little motorcycle game at some point.

So yea, check out some of the reviews of the games listed above, scope out some screenshots, and if at all possible, try to play a few of them. After getting a little exposure to the current N-Gage library and finding out about some of the awesome games available for it, I've become a fan. I've been on the lookout for a cheap used N-Gage, but I'll probably wind up just buying a new N-Gage QD for $100 so that I won't have to play my friend's anymore. It's a shame this is probably the last year for N-Gage games, because the more recent releases have been really, really strong.

If there's one platform that needs to be emulated post-haste, it's the N-Gage. More people need to be exposed to the library and it's pretty unrealistic to expect a lot of gamers (who've been conditioned by the gaming press for the last few years to mock the system) to just throw $100 at a phone. If you do get one though, I guarentee that you won't be disappointed.

Shit, especially since there's a lot of good games for $7 new. Seven fucking dollars new. Come on, now.

In other news, I've made zero progress in Phoenix Wright because I've been busy in my free time. Might have some time to play it on Sunday, but it's looking like I may not be able to beat it until next weekend. We'll see!

If you can wait a couple of months, I think I might be able to get you a very gently used one.

You side-talking wannabe faggot, my n-gage and I love you no matter what :)

The games are still $50+ in stores over here, unless you catch the once a year "We can't get rid of this shit, buy a 5c chewing gum and we'll give it to you" deal. I've been hunting for Rifts for a while, but no luck
